It's nice to have a break though and we had a lovely day, with good company and a glass or two of "Pimms" hic ! I did take a couple of photo's that I thought I would post, ( not all taken today) The first one is a comfy corner of my Summerhouse, the second is of one of my orchids blooming again at last! The third is my hyacinth before it flowered (sadly dead now) I love it when they are fresh and green before blooming. Last of all is the lavender that I grew from seeds last year. They were going to be a lavender hedge for my plot, but I think they have all died during this cold winter. If they grow any more leaves I will be delighted, but they look dead, (not in this photo) and when I broke a piece off it didn't look at all green. I will have to be patient and wait and see.

Everyone needs a few of these days. Great orchid. My hyacinths are on their way out. Enjoy yours. Such a lovely aroma to fill the home.
When I was going to school in London, we visited several homesteads. One of them was Standen in West Sussex. I was blown away by the fields of lavender. The whole place smelled amazing. From their I fell in love with lavender and it has been my favorite every since.
Well it sounds as if you had an enjoyable day Maureen and those jobs at the lottie will still be waiting for you when you get there next :) That spec in the summer house looks most comfortable. I can imagine sitting down there with a good book and a glass of Pimms. Hope that your lavenders surprise you.
Hi and thanks for your comments. Gardeness I agree about the aroma of hyacinths,lillies are another favourite of mine for filling the house full of delicious scent.
Dirt Princess I was intersted in your comment on Standen as we are going there in a couple of weeks, we are National Trust Members and I haven't been to Standen before, so looking forward to that, I'll be sure to take some photo's for you.

I have to comment on your sign about trespassers. It really made me chuckle. Do you have this at the allotment? Do you mind if I copy it?
There are very few signs of spring in my PA garden yet, but I am hopeful that I can get out there soon. In the meantime, I am enjoying reading about the start gardeners in warmer climes are making.
Hi Pam, I do have this sign at the allotment and it caused quite a lot of chuckles when I put it on the plot last year. I have a few quirky things about just to add a touch of humour.
My scarecrow "Rosie" who is the only one so far on the allotment makes everyone smile including passers by, she has new outfits every so often which adds to the fun. I don't mind at all if you copy the sign, I'm glad you liked it. I hope you get signs of spring soon:)
