My New Grand-daughter has arrived , and my obsession has got worse

Just to let everyone know that my new grand-daughter has made her appearance into the world. She is so beautiful, is very small just 5lb 13 Oz's, she has lots of black hair and her name is - Florence Rose. She and her mother are doing well. Her big brother Bertie (16 months of age) is not too impressed he was more interested in eating his mummy's crisps. bless him. I have been looking after Bertie for 2 days and he is so adorable which is just as well because he has worn me out, it's harder work than digging on the allotment.

And the obsession with my seedlings has taken a turn for the worse, because I have bought them with me to stay at my son's home !!! how could I leave them at home for days to fend for themselves ??? my husband couldn't believe his eyes when he look in the boot of the car and saw the seeds trays. My son couldn't believe his eyes when he saw them on his dining-room windowsill ! I don't know what all the fuss is about, they just don't understand do they ? if they haven't ever planted a seed and seen it grow, how could they ??

I will hopefully be able to post a photo of Florence and her brother Bertie when I get back on Wednesday. Have a good week everyone and lets hope this lovely weather stays and gets even better.

Oh that is so funny, but of course you must bring your other babies with you.

Congratulations to you all and a huge welcome into the world for Florence Rose - such a beautiful name. Am here in Nottingham with my grandaughter who was a very similar weight - but she now bounces with life and energy at 20 months. Can't wait to see a photo of Florence.
And seed obsession - I really don't see that it's anything other than normal behaviour. You wouldn't leave any other children on their own would you?

Oh what lovely news Maureen - a precious new seedling and what a lovely name. Hope that mother and babe are thriving. I had to laugh at you taking your seedlings with you. I have managed to train himself to look after the greenhouse when I am away but it took some doing :) Doesn't stop me from phoning him everyday for a progress check.

Hi Mo, I am so thrilled for you and your family! How wonderful to have a new little grand-daughter! I send everyone good wishes and good health! You and your seedlings might turn someone else in the house into a plant lover, who knows? Maybe it'll rub off on your grandson? I think it's great that you are still nurturing the little plants as you nurture your children & grandchildren. Now please do take care of YOURSELF, too, as you are giving so much--be sure to take care of YOU:)

Hi Maureen,
I just had to visit your blog after you left a message on mine in relation to the seedlings being like children. Your early entry made me smile. I am not alone with the way I feel about my seedlings. Yay!
