Always look on the bright side of life, da dum, de da, de da de dum !

The song from Monty Pythons 'Life of Brian' always makes me smile, I have even got it as a ring-tone on my mobile. So what better a title for my post to day as this was the scene in my garden this morning when I opened the curtains. Oh I will be the first to say it's a beautiful sight, but not very inspiring when all I want to do is get out of the house, but it's sooo cold.
It has been snowing all day and doesn't look like it will be stopping anytime soon.
Ah well at least I had the Thompson & Morgan seed catalogue to browse through, it came this morning and was a very welcome post. I must now order my asparagus from them.

The signs of Spring, buds on the Blueberry bushes, taken a couple of days ago.

A couple of photo's from last Summer, just to remind myself of the delights to come.

Hi Maureen
How lovely to have a seed catalogue to peruse - I've not sent for any yet, but must do so soon!
All looks pretty in your garden and though you can't go out and do things, I hope you've had a lovely day at home.
Happy days to you!

Hi Maureen
We finally have snow here too but I've not been reading my seed catalogues - I've been testing my new sledge, and very good it is too!
Happy New Year

On a day like that it feels good to peruse the mags and pick some pretties for spring. The snow is a beautiful scene. I'm planning my spring garden too. Stay warm.

Thank you DENISE,JOANNE, & BECCA for the comments. I did actually have a nice relaxing day today. That's one good thing about the snow, it makes us take things slower and the light it gives off is magical.

ALLOT of Veg, you probably had the right idea. I hope you let the boys have a turn ???

Hope the snow lets up soon so that you can get out. Your garden does look pretty though.

Hi Nicky, I loved visiting your blog. I went through the vintage stage years ago, and am now kind of in a minimalist stage, but seeing your lovely things makes me wish I had kept Lot's of my old stuff, oh dear ! I might have to start visiting the bric a brac shops again.

Hi JO, the snow is still very much with us, but I walked into town today VERY SLOWLY and it was so crisp underfoot and I felt better for getting out.

Yep the snow machine has passed over our heads as well, my mum has been stuck in London since yesterday.

Hi Kella, no more fresh snow here today either. I hope your mum gets home soon. x

Hi Maureen, the snow has continued down here off and on but my mum finally made it home today about an hour ago.

KELLA, I'm so glad to hear that your mum got home safe and well. We did have a little snowfall in the afternoon, but it didn't last long. I am so glad I don't live in Scotland, they are having it very hard. This is such a bad winter !
