Raspberries, Rhubarb and Rainbows.

The late fruiting Raspberries, it's been a good year.

Beetroot, cooked and pickled in vinegar and my favourite Raspberry Curd.
I was busy in the kitchen yesterday.

After the rain, out came the sun and a wonderful double rainbow.

I have always loved rainbows, they never fail to enchant me.

Hi Lou, it's great to see you back blogging and at a new address and name, lovely! I had a look and left a comment.

Hi MALAY-KADAZAN GIRL, thanks for visiting and the comment. I had a look at your blog and your dear little children are so sweet. I will return to leave a comment.

Hi DAMO, I can recommend the late fruiting raspberries as it's good to have some fruit at this time of the year.

Hi SCENTED SWEETPEA thanks for the comment, I need to visit your blog again soon to see what you have been up to.

Hi Doc, is see that your work in the kitchen really pays off. We used to make rhubarb punch, when I was little - rhubarb with 7Up! Yum.

I can't wait to see that photo of Prospero's book shop...

Prospero is often associated with books. In The Tempest, he goes into exile taking only his books. He is widely believed to be Shakespeare's alter ego.

I am almost childfully delighted whenever I see a rainbow ~ they always bring a smile to my face. This is my first year for autumn flowering raspberries ~ not a huge crop but am enjoying them more than my summer crop :)

Hi Anna, I know how you feel, I get excited and rush to get my camera whenever I see a rainbow, always hoping to get a fantastic shot. I haven't managed that yet, but this one isn't too bad.
You should get a bigger crop of late raspberries next year especially if you cut them right down to the ground and mulch them with plenty of well rotted manure.

I have no idea what raspberry curd is but I'm looking it up ~ it looks yummy (especially since I'm a fan of raspberries). You have been very busy but how wonderful it will be this winter.
