I had a visitor in my kitchen today

This beautiful Dragonfly flew into my kitchen today, it was amazing and the photo doesn't do it justice. It flew around frantically and I shut the back door so it couldn't escape until I got some photo's. I then helped it fly off out of the window by gently easing it along the glass and out into the garden.

Hello Maureen, Your beautiful visitor is amazing! Love the wee glimpse of your colorful garden through the window. Pam x

PS I sprayed the squash with a milk solution and the plants are alright so far.

Hi PAM, I have never seen a dragonfly that colour, it was beautiful but larger than the ones I have seen before, but the wings were so delicate. I hope the milk helps your plants, mine courgettes have a touch of it now so I'm removing the leaves that are very bad and spraying the rest of the plants with diluted milk.

SCENTED SWEETPEA & VEGETABLE HEAVEN, they are indeed wonderful and magical creatures and I don't know why but I always get excited to spot one, so having one in the kitchen was so good.

How wonderful to have one fly into your kitchen! I see them in my garden but only when I don't have the camera of course.
